Percy Jackson was an AMAZING movie.  Filled with action, a great storyline, and a lot of mythological creatures.  Never thought a movie could actually get near or fully onto the book, but this movie does.  This is a must see.

Dear John is about a soldier who falls in love with a college student named Savannah. Over the course of seven years, John comes and goes. He and Savannah must write letters to keep in touch.

Great movie, 8.5/10 stars.

Edge Of Darkness, starring Mel Gibson, is about a man named Thomas Craven looking for the killer of his daughter. As a police detective, he must try to be rational, but no man can be rational when their daughter dies in their arms.

I liked this movie to a certain extent, but parts seemed off-topic at points.

Sorry it took me so long to put this up, but I just finished watching it.

“When In Rome” is a movie about a woman who takes coins from the Fountain of Love in Italy. Taking these coins had a negative affect on her. No spoilers here, though. You’ll have to go see the movie to see what happens with her.

It was pretty bland at moments, but throughout it was funny.

7/10

The Tooth FairyThe Tooth Fairy, starring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, is about a professional hockey player who has been chosen to be a tooth fairy with all of the teeth he has knocked out while playing hockey.

As a children’s film, it was great, but if you’re an adult looking to see this film, I suggest you bring a niece or nephew with you.   It lacked action, which Johnson is known for and it wasn’t funny to the 20+ age group.

5/10 stars

Book of Eli

In the future, the world has been turned into a wasteland.  Eli (played by Denzel Washington) holds the key to saving humanity, but Carnegie (played by Gary Oldman) wants the book too.

Good movie filled with action and gore, a bit long,  but still maintaining a solid storyline.  Great cast with Washington, Oldman and Michael Gambon.  Also adding sex appeal with Mila Kunis.

8/10 stars

AvatarThe highly anticipated movie, Avatar has already grossed over a billion dollars.  A disabled ex-marine named Jack Sully (portrayed by Sam Worthington) gets a chance to go into the Avatar program where he has the ability to walk again.  He finds himself torn between a world where he can walk, and a world that he knows best.  With a cast of golden globe winners, and director James Cameron, where can you go wrong?  This movie is also available in IMAX.

9.8/10 stars

Daybreakers

Daybreakers, a movie starring Willem Dafoe and Ethan Hawke, is about a virus that spreads in the year 2019, turning most of the world into vampires.  Now, with most of the population being vampires, they have to harvest blood from humans to stay alive.  Hawke finds out that there is a cure to being turned into a vampire.  For a horror film, it was definitely scary, and with the all-star cast and great storyline, you can’t help but like it.

7.5/10 stars

Sherlock Holmes

Sherlock Holmes, a beloved book when you were younger has finally hit the silver screen, with Robert Downey Jr. playing the role of Sherlock Holmes, and Jude Law playing John Watson.  In this movie, Holmes and Watson are trying to stop a plot by Lord Blackwood to use black magic.  They encounter many other problems on the way, but find a way to get through them.  This was a great movie if you’ve never read the books, and an even better movie if you have read any of the books.

9/10 stars

youth-in-revoltYouth in Revolt, starring funny man Michael Cera as Nick Twist, is about a young man who creates an alternate persona.  His alternate persona is the complete opposite of him,  so he gets Twist into more trouble than he does good.  This movie has a lot of star power for a comedy movie.  Zach Galifianakis, as his stepfather, Justin Long, Steve Buscemi.  Great book, and a great movie.
